The Execution of Mary Stuart

This film is was made by Thomas Edison in 1895 and it's the story about the execution of Mary, Queen of Scots. This is may have been first film in history to use actors to depict a story not only that but special effects have been used and editing for the purpose of the story. When the executioner raises his axe to chop her head off the it is edited so the actress is removed and replaces with a mannequin.
This is my favourite video, it shows how far forward directors of film at that time were, and how they shocked and fooled audiences for entertainment.
