E39 M5 "Star" Guy Ritchie
I love Guy Ritchie films, so i decided to research and see if he had done any shorts; just as I thought it was very difficult to find one but I came across this short film "E39 M5 Star". The film lasted 9 minutes and had me gripped from the opening line his style is unique and often involves unsavoury characters that turn out to be the hero, the locations are always gritty and unpolished. However I was surprised to see upmarket sophisticated characters, it was only at the end of the film I discovered it was a film to promote BMW cars.
I still enjoyed it and was interested in his camera shots and I felt involved in this story through the use of direct speech, the opening line is a voice over a rough "Ray Winstone" type that kept me watching because it was typical of Guy to use that to grab audiences before throwing them into a "upper class" atmosphere.
