James Pilkington is a unique director, He has not done many short films he concentrates on Television dramas and adverts, and it is extremely hard finding information and pictures about him because he is not well established.
James is a British film Director, who works for independent film Production Company “The sweet shop”. His first short “pocket” won the BBC Best Short film award 1998 and was sold all round the world. In 1999 Pilkington was commissioned by the BBC to do a 10/10 short resulting in the acclaimed kids film 'Disco’; during this period James ventured into commercial directing filming tvc's for AXA, Playstation (TBWA) and a test for Volkswagen. In 2000 James' short comedy 'Sweet’ won the Empire Magazine best short film award, was a runner up in London Film Festival and was nominated for a BAFTA.
